Uplift Gradus Car Line
The Uplift Gradus Car Line was created under the guidance of Uplift Education, the City of DeSoto, and our campus safety officers. Everyone is required to use the car line route for dropping off and picking up scholars. To keep car line safe for all scholars and parents, we do not allow parents to walk their scholars across the parking lot or street.
We also encourage you to review our new car line video with your scholar(s) for tips and tricks on how to make carline a breeze.

Afternoon Car Line Procedures
All cars will enter through the Entry Gate off Seahawk Dr and proceed into the parking lot beginning at 3pm. Cars will take an immediate right turn and split into their assigned lines, based on grade level, and follow the perimeter of the parking lot. Please be advised: all scholars must be picked up in a vehicle or daycare van during the carline. There is no walk-up pick up during carline time. There is no one in the front office and staff are actively faciliting the carline; there is no one available to pull individual scholars that are not being pick up in a vehicle via the carline using a carline number.
(BLUE LINE) Pre K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade scholars, plus Families with Siblings that are all 2nd grade or younger.
- Have your car line hangtag displayed clearly, hanging on your rearview mirror.
- Proceed along the left lane (Blue Line) until you are forced to turn left into the staff parking lot.
- Follow through the staff parking lot and stop at the traffic intersection facing the school.
- Wait at the stop until the traffic officer directs you to pull forward.
- Park along the curb closest to the front side of the building and wait for a staff member to bring your scholar. You may be asked for your scholar's name, if your scholar is not familiar with their own name or your vehicle.
- Exit turning left out of the parking lot. Turning right toward Hampton Road is not permitted. Traffic on Hampton is too busy at this time, and this maneuver often endangers our scholars and families.

Important Reminders
- Scholars are not allowed to be escorted into the building by family members. This creates too much hallway and carline back up, and can be dangerous for other staff and scholars.
- The front office is closed during morning car line and 30 minutes prior to afternoon car line. Staff will not be available to assist visitors or parents at these times.
- Proceed with caution at a low speed through the gate and into your carline. Dispatchers will not be able to enter your carline number if you are speeding.
- Wait until the cars in front of you proceeds before moving forward.
- If the car line extends beyond our cones outside of the gate, please form a single file line close to the curb along Seahawk Drive, toward Kestrel Ave. You will be allowed to split lines after you have passed the Dispatcher.
- Scholars may not be dropped off prior to 7:30am unless they are enrolled in Zero Hour before-school care with Champions.
- Scholars not picked up by 4:15pm (or 2:45pm on Wednesdays) will be charged a Late Scholar Pick Up Fee (see below).
